About us

Fox and Co is a dream coming true for Me and my family everyday. My name is Ben Ashby and I am working on taking my skills and experiences and using them to help others in their pursuit of creating the home space into the haven we are all looking for. Fox is our smallest family member at 9 lbs but she holds a huge place in our home. Her and her “little” sister Greta are our two little princesses. Rebecca and I work hard to make sure the gravy train keeps flowing. I have spent most of my life learning from my father and the many other skilled tradesmen I have had the pleasure of working with. My father Brian Ashby recently retired from a long career in the Carpenter’s Union in Kentucky where her built his home for his wife Susan and his 5 children. From a young age I was eager to learn and work with him and he brought me along on every project he could until I could go to work with him. I started out working on a painting crew at Keeneland Racetrack for 3 summers in high school then i started on with Sullivan and Cozart when I turned 18. I learned every aspect of the trade of carpenter from surveying and foundation building to finish trim, siding and roofing working on commercial projects with various superintendents and foreman for 5 years. I always have some sort of project going on rebuilding something for fun and for learning something new. Recently I have been building furniture to practice and hone my woodworking skills.
